Robin Conner
Senior Lecturer, Undergraduate Director History- Biography
Dr. Robin Conner specializes in nineteenth-century American history, gender history, and military history. She earned her MA and PhD in History from Emory University and a BA in History from the College of William and Mary. Her research focuses on the intersection of gender, class, and race in the post-Civil War frontier military. Her chapter, “Army Life in the Old West,” was published in A Companion to Custer and the Little Bighorn Campaign(Wiley-Blackwell, 2015). She was a West Point Summer Seminar in Military History Fellow in 2011 and took part in the Military History Instructors Course at Fort Leavenworth, KS in 2012. She serves as an Executive Editor for History: Reviews in New Books. At Georgia State, Dr. Conner teaches U.S. survey courses and an upper-level course on War in Europe and America since 1500. She is also the faculty advisor for the Association of Historians at Georgia State University.
