Rachel Ernst
Senior Lecturer History- Biography
Rachel Ernst earned her B.A .in History at Georgia State University and completed her doctorate at the University of Reading in 2015. She is a medieval historian, specializing in the religious landscape of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries in Western Europe. Her work focuses on heretical Christian theology and the transmission of ideas during the Medieval Renaissance.
Dr. Ernst is currently editing her doctoral dissertation on early clerical perceptions of the Cathar Heresy and teaching survey courses in World History pre-1500.
