- Biography
Jody is a Lecturer in the History Department. He teaches the US History Survey, World History Survey, as well as upper level courses relating to his research. Jody specializes in Southern Labor History, US Political History, Gender History, and African American History. Jody's research is on the 1968 statewide Florida Teacher strike. He has had numerous public and academic publications, and his article on the 1968 Florida strike won the Arthur W. Thompson Award given by the Florida Historical Society for best scholarly article written on Florida History. He is currently finishing his book on the Florida Teacher Strike which is under advance contract with LSU Press.
