My current research includes examining connections between Black Megachurches, Faith-based Organizations, and the Faith-based Initiatives. It explores how legislations such as the Johnson Amendment, Charitable Choice, and the Faith-based Initiatives have affected the perceived fiscal, social, moral, and spiritual responsibilities assigned to Black churches in what I define as the Black Religious Economy.
