- Biography
Charles is an Architectural Conservator and Preservation Planner with Lord Aeck Sargent Planning & Design. On a typical day, Charles manages several historic preservation projects that range from research and documentation to historic material analysis to design to construction administration. He is a founding board member of Historic Atlanta, past president of the Georgia chapter of Docomomo, and serves on several technical and advisory committees. Charles is also a regular lecturer at the University of Georgia and the Tuskegee Institute. Recent favorite projects include the documentation and restoration of several important Civil Rights sites in the southeast and the restoration of the Tortugas Harbor Lighthouse at Fort Jefferson.
