Stewards of historic sites associated with the African American Freedom Struggle of the 1950s and 1960s from across the United States are invited to attend the second U.S. Civil Rights Movement Sites Symposium being held on the Atlanta campus of Georgia State University, April 16-18, 2020.

Featuring talks by such noted leaders in historic preservation as Brent Leggs of the National Trust and Destry Jarvis of the consulting firm Outdoor Recreation, and such museum experts as Ruth Abram and Linda Norris of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, the Symposium promises to provide a wealth of ideas to attendees on such topics as interpretation, management plans, buffer zones, lobbying, and funding sources.
