The Department Wins AHA Grant for Career Diversity

History recently won a major grant to facilitate a series of workshops this year on the many ways students can use a degree in History. We also collaborated with the Department of English on a successful Next Generation Humanities PhD grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, which is designed to transform the culture of graduate education and substantially broaden the career prospects of PhD recipients in the humanities.

The Department of History trains students to think critically about the past, to communicate clearly, and to consider events in their appropriate context.
